Liability waiver *

I acknowledge that I am participating in an activity that may challenge me mentally and physically. I hereby release and discharge Lightspeed Saber League and all its affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, and volunteers, from responsibility and liability for any injuries or property damage sustained, including but not limited to soreness, fatigue, dehydration, dizziness, physical, mental, or emotional injury, loss or damage to property, illness, paralysis, or death. I understand it is my responsibility to know my physical and environmental limitations and to refrain from any activity I do not feel comfortable performing or am unable to perform due to the risk of harming myself, other individuals, or surrounding property. If sparring or competing, I understand that Lightspeed Saber fencing is a contact sport and an inherently dangerous activity, and that proper safety equipment must be worn and used at all times. I understand that, despite the use of such equipment, injuries are still possible, including painful hits, bruises, and welts. I also acknowledge the inherent elevated risk of being infected by a contagion in traveling to the location of the sparring or competition and spending time at that location, and I still choose to participate.

Appearance release *

I grant permission to Lightspeed Saber League and its associates to take photo and video of my likeness, voice, and performance and publish it online, in social media, or in print, for the purpose of promoting Lightspeed Saber League (or any of its affiliates and subgroups) and/or highlighting my skill or performance. I grant permission to Lightspeed Saber League to identify me on social media if applicable. I expect no compensation for any footage or photography of me generated from my participation. Further, I grant full ownership of any such footage or photography to Lightspeed Saber League, as well as the right to transfer that ownership to other parties. If I am opposed to any particular use or instance of my appearance, I understand it is my responsibility to request the non-use of that specific appearance before publishing.
