Over the weekend Lightspeed Saber Rockville hosted the first in their Feeble Skills series of tournaments.

Lightspeed Menace, the 2024 Nationals, awarded the title of National Champion to the League’s youngest member to ever hold that title—18 year old Ally Fournier—and an ‘A’ grade to the youngest fencer to ever hold that rank—20 year old Chris Isom. Read about that, and the rest of the data, here.
LSA’s Chris Isom took home the gold and the title of national champion on Day 3 of Lightspeed Menace. He fought in a tight battle against C-rated (now B) and rising Lightspeed star, Ryan McKenna, based out of Virginia. Isom and McKenna fought in an extremely close fight, with McKenna nearly clinching the victory with a contested headshot.
With Lightspeed Nationals right around the corner, it’s time to start getting excited about more than just the fencing.
It’s the final tournament before Nationals, and one last chance for novice fencers to rank up ahead of the 4 day event.

The Lightspeed Saber SoCal March To Advancement novice tournament was the largest such tournament in a long while, boasting 18 competitors, putting the event exactly at capacity.
The Lightspeed Saber SoCal Open Invitational marked a historic occasion with its multi-day format, including competitions for novices, advanced fencers, women, teams, and introducing the very first Ren Saber exclusive event.

The SoCal Halloween Bash at Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles saw a diverse lineup of competitors, each with their own aspirations and skill levels. Jose Ortiz-Miranda, hailing from Krait Base in LA, entered the ring with a solid B rating, fueled by the ambition to elevate it to an A. Meanwhile, Cang Snow from Knight Club in Irvine, another B-rated fencer, had his sights set on achieving that coveted A rating.
