Red Squadron delivered an exciting display of skill and determination, with Ryan McKenna leading the charge in spectacular fashion. With five victories and a strong showing of outscoring his opponents by 36 points, he claimed the top spot with confidence. Robert Wharton followed closely, showcasing his prowess with four victories securing a well-earned second place. Mychal Mendoza put up a fierce fight, tallying three victories and demonstrating sharp technique with 75 total points scored. Roland Balmediano and Saul Martinez each had standout moments, displaying resilience and determination in their bouts. Kristi Jerome brought unwavering spirit to the competition, engaging in intense matches and scoring solid hits along the way. The squadron’s matches were filled with energy, precision, and competitive drive, making for an unforgettable round.
Blue Squadron put on a thrilling performance, showcasing skill, strategy, and determination in every match. There were three competitors that secured 4 victories, but it was Alex Sackett though who emerged as the top competitor scoring an impressive 71 hits. Close behind, Eric Pellicci delivered a fantastic showing outscoring his opponents by 33 points to claim second place. Ken Myers fought with precision and consistency finishing with a solid third place. Emily Watson displayed sharp technique, winning two bouts and accumulating 58 points scored. Benjamin Broklawski put forth a valiant effort, demonstrating resilience and scoring 42 hits throughout his matches. The newcommer Kevin Kennedy, with unwavering tenacity, engaged in competitive bouts, gaining valuable experience and making every match a challenge for his opponents. Every match in Blue Squadron was a showcase of skill and perseverance, creating an exciting competition that kept spectators on the edge of their seats.
Entering the brackets with the Round of 16, Benjamin B. edged out Roland Balmediano in a closely contested match. Mychal Mendoza displayed great form against Kristi Jerome, securing his place in the next round. Em Watson delivered a strong performance against Saul Martinez, moving on to the round of 8.
In the Round of 8, Ryan McKenna showcased his precision and control, overcoming Ben B. with a commanding 26 touches. After winning hist round of 16 match against Kevin Kennedy, in a close match with a come back, Ken Myers faced off against Robert Wharton. Their duel was fierce, with Robert narrowly securing victory with 26 points. In a match that seemed to be more tactical than aggressive Mychal Mendoza and Eric Pellicci spent a lot of time trying to find openings against each other. The match finished in overtime with Eric winning by the skin of his teeth 6 to 5). Alex Sackett battled past Em Watson in a 24-15 showdown.
The semi-finals saw Ryan McKenna face a determined Robert Wharton, pulling off a close 24-23 victory in the most intense matche of the tournament. On the other side, Alex Sackett proved his resilience, fending off Eric Pellicci with a solid 19-13 win.
In the grand finale, Ryan McKenna rose to the occasion once again, putting on a masterful performance against Alex Sackett with a 26-16 victory, claiming the championship in spectacular fashion.
