UNACCEPTABLE GLOVES

Lightspeed-saber fencing is safe, but only as long as the safety rules are followed and the head, neck, and the fine bones of the hands and wrist are properly protected. The following gloves are commonly used outside of Lightspeed but DO NOT meet our safety standards and should not be used.

• NO traditional fencing gloves

• NO motorcycle gloves

• NO rapier gloves

• NO work gloves

• Any glove lacking protection for the inner wrist is NOT allowed (see photo).
