This equipment is generally not needed by most fencers, but are great enhancements to your team, especially if you charge membership. It is a good idea for officers to provide at least some of the following amenities:
LIGHTING & POWER
Your members want to show off what they do, and you want show off to passersby. Investments into lighting and power are great ways to attract attention and generate awesome Instagram photo and video.
LED strip light— 150 feet
Really long cable is versatile for a variety of ring sizes and shapes. Comes in many colors. Semi-durable— tends to break in sections; don’t abuse them.
Cord reel with stand
Essential for efficient use of the LED cable, as it does not come with a reel. You really want a reel with a stand and a crank handle, or it’s going to be a big pain in the butt to use.
85W SOFTBOXES
Fight at night, not in the dark! This particular set comes with fat 85W bulbs for more light. Not entirely intuitive to setup if you’re not familiar with softboxes so educate yourself before setup, and don’t let anyone do it for you without showing them first. Easy to break. Can go as high as 7-8 feet but be mindful of wind conditions.
solar POWER GENERATOR
Haven't actually used this myself but it's pretty similar to the one Krait Base uses. It ranges from 500W to 1000W so you can choose economy or versatility. At 1000W you should be able to run at least two rings and multiple lights. It can be charged by solar or by AC outlet. No gasoline required.

STAFF TOOLS & AMENITIES
As team captain or armorer, you may be charged with carrying a variety of loaner equipment, including sabers. This gear will make that job a lot easier to handle.
multi battery CHARGING STATION
Charge a bunch of lithium-ions at once, at a variety of sizes. It’s best used with 18650s but fits AA moderately well. A little unintuitive to operate but it does its job.
FULL SIZE GOLF BAG
A lot of people opt for a cheaper putter bag or kids’ bag but captains and armorers should have a bag to carry enough loaner sabers securely. It comes with backstraps so you can transport it easily; and of course it has the really convenient auto-extending legs.
5/64” HEX KEY
Buy these in bulk and give them out or sell them to your members. Everyone needs them. Will fit essentially all lightsabers on the market.
collapsible wagon
Great for moving around loaner gear. Should be able to transport 4-5 sets of gear, even more if you pile them on. Can fit fully assembled into some hatchbacks and SUVs.
REPAIR TOOLS
On-site repair services keep your team up and running. Besides pliers, here’s what else you’ll want that might not be readily available.
WHITE ELECTRICAL TAPE
White tape can be used to secure tips (not repair) and depth-mark blades (particularly important for competitions) without interfering with illumination.
PIPE CUTTER
For refurbishing broken blade ends. You can buy a smaller, cheaper version for greater portability, but this will be the easiest to use.
0.620” PLUG GAUGE
This helps you make an unmarred tube end with the above pipe cutter, making it essential for tip refurbishments.
STREAMING, MEDIA & COMPETITION
For more advanced teams, streaming and media are great ways to get the word out, and give your competitions weight and importance.
SCOREBOARD
Analog scoreboards are really helpful for recorded matches, and important for formal competitions. Electronic boards are even better and really help to streamline operations.
CAMERA TRIPOD
While this is not the cheapest tripod you can get, it is reasonably priced and durable. Good for the cost. Includes a phone holder.
LONG USB CABLE
Long, high data rate cable. It comes with an extra AC adapter because it needs additional power to run at that length.
PHONE GIMBAL
I haven’t personally used this or any stabilizer, but they’re an easy way to achieve impressive video with little effort.
