Lightspeed Saber of Southern California closes the year with three exciting tournaments: two qualifiers, and one exciting end-of-the-year competition for advanced Lightspeed Saber fencers only. Start training for the main event, or fight your way through the quals to earn the right to face the champion. Click the image on the left to sign up now! The earlier you sign up, the cheaper it is.

SETUP:

• Single evening event

• All genders, ages 15 and up

• 2 pools:

  • Up to 7 competitors each

  • Round robin

• Elimination bracket

  • Top 8

• Quotas:

  • None

• Novice-level safety rules (see next)

POWER LEVEL AND SAFETY MODIFICATIONS

• Pommel gripping on any saber will be prohibited during the pools

  • Sabers must be gripped primarily in the upper 50% of the length of the hilt

  • The thumb in a parallel thumb grip does NOT count as part of the grip and therefore may not be used to extend the length of the grip

• Pommel gripping is allowed during the eliminations.

The price of each tournament this season goes up every one to two weeks.

REFUND POLICY

• If you are unable to make the competition due to illness or COVID-related reasons you may request a refund anytime up until the day of the tournament. There is a return fee of 15%.

• If for some reason the tournament is cancelled you will receive a full refund.
