Divisions to be determined based on registrations.

Annihilation Format

Annihilation is a tag team format that works more like chess.

  • Each team will have 3 members.

  • Each teammate will begin with X health, were X is determined by that player’s rank in order to balance teams.

  • Before each encounter, teams huddle for 5-10 seconds to strategize and choose which teammate will fence.

  • Chosen teammates fence off per standard LSL rules.

  • Instead of earning points, teammate take damage when touched.

    • 2 damage if hit first

    • 1 damage if hit second or indirectly

    • +1 damage if headshot

  • Teammates with 0 health can huddle but cannot fence.

  • When all teammates have been annihilated, the match ends and the other team is the victor.

  • If the match goes to time, the team with the highest health total wins.

  • DEFENSIVES: On a successful counterattack, every teammate on that fencer’s team gets +1 health.

    • Yes, you can earn more health than what you started with.

    • Damage is still accounted for. Example: Jill gets a defensive on Jack, but Jack manages to hit her back in time:

      • Jill and her teammates each get +1 life

      • Jack takes 2 damage for getting hit first

      • Jill takes 1 damage for getting hit second, negating the life she just earned for herself. At least her teammates healed!

    • Any teammate at 0 health that gets +1 health in this way can now fence again!
