Strategy -- Timing, Tempo, & Traps w/Russ Mitchell

Fencing doesn't have to be "attack then block, attack then block." In this class, you'll learn how to integrate basic tempo attacks into your repertoire without setting yourself up for simultaneous hits. Along the way, you'll learn how tempo works either for or against you and how you turn it into your ally by setting up exchanges that invite a response and cause you to look vulnerable, while actually striking in safety. As a bonus, you'll learn defense against the ubiquitous hand snipes which are built on nothing but the proper understanding of tempo, and by the end of class, you'll be able to do "the thing."
