Lightspeed International is held at Lightspeed Saber Academy in Buena Park, California. This is a facility designed specifically for light-based fencing, with 3 built-in light rings optimized for Lightspeed Saber fencing.

EVENTS
Nationals this year places special emphasis on the women’s tournament, the standard saber supertournament, and the high intensity nonstop Control Point team tournament.
WOMEN’S STANDARD SABER TOURNAMENT
The ladies’ event is on Saturday this year, ensuring it has a prime spot for maximum attendance and spectators! This will be REY ONLY. Gender restrictions apply. Ages 14+.
CONTROL POINT TAG TEAM TOURNEY
Many light-based fencing systems now have continuous fencing formats. This is Lightspeed’s take on it: a tag-team bout with nonstop action that doesn’t sacrifice our principles, and with live scoring so the competitors and the spectators always know who’s winning and why. You’ve never seen fencing like this!
SUPERTOURNAMENT!
In past years we’ve divided the upper and lower divisions. This year, we’re taking a page from 2022: you’ll face up to 10 other competitors in a single day, in a single tournament, at many different skills levels. It’s the ultimate mixer. Upper ranked competitors will go in with a point advantage, giving them an easier path to the top. But as always, EVERYONE has a chance to fight for gold, even a newcomer.
Stamina will take on a whole new meaning at the 2026 supertournament!!
CROSSGUARD, MIXED, & WEAPONS MASTER
Crossguard and mixed weapons go on the same day this year. These are all gender, all level, ages 15 and up. As in previous years, the Weapon Master title is won via points in the crossguard event, mixed event, and standard saber event. All three must be entered to win this title.
CADETS & YOUNGLINGS TOURNEY
This is an open championship event for the padawans of Lightspeed Saber League.

Ages 8-14
ANNIHILATION TAG-TEAM SKIRMISH
Teams of 3 fight one-on-one but have the opportunity to tag out, change weapons, and huddle to discuss strategy between encounters. This is a much more thoughtful, strategic game that plays out more slowly, but each encounter is important and must be approached carefully.
Each team must have at least one man and at least one woman on the team

You may request a tournament credit anytime up until midnight, the day of the tournament.
Refunds will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
If the event is cancelled you will receive a full refund automatically.
