Come to Lightspeed Saber Academy’s grand reopening in the Buena Park Mall! We’ll be giving mini lessons, handing out prizes, demoing real solo and team matches, offering super signup deals, and running our famous LIGHTSPEED FENCING LIVE TRYOUTS.

This put us on the map! We’ll get you armed, equipped, and trained for a real Lightspeed fencing match against a friend, all in under 30 minutes. A personal coach will guide you from start to finish. This is a popular event and gets filled up quickly, so show up early.

Who can do this?
We’re welcoming anyone 8 and up to participate! Of course anyone is welcome to watch and cheer on their favorite fencer.
What should I bring?
Wear shoes. Don’t wear jeans. Bring yourself. If you’re a minor, bring your parents.
What does it cost?
All activities throughout the day are free! But you may want to have money on hand if you’re thinking of signing up or buying equipment.

Lightspeed fencing is a realistic take on lightsaber combat. It has characteristics of kendo, HEMA, and eskrima— but its nearest comparison is traditional Olympic fencing. We have ten teams in the USA and six in Malaysia. Dozens of tournaments are held throughout the year and our world ranking boasts over a hundred modern competitors.
