We will crown the Southern California Lightspeed Saber fencing man and woman champion! We will also premier a test run of our sequential team skirmish event! That’s right, form up your Force Dyad and do battle with others!
While this is a regional event, anyone of good standing who qualifies to compete may enter!
Please note this will be a ticketed spectator event. Kids 12 and under are free.

WOMEN’S INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT
All grades or lack thereof, no membership required
Up to 6 women competitors

TEAM SKIRMISH
All grades or lack thereof, no membership required
All genders
Sequential, individual combat between up to 8 wings (teams) of two members each (read about the format in detail here)
Rules: Modified novice
Pommeling allowed
Ground-slamming not allowed except in finals.
Wing composition rules:
Your wing must consist of two members.
Your wing may not exceed a total power value of 7 points: A = 6 pts, B = 5 pts, C = 4 pts, D = 3 pts, E = 2 pts, U = 1 pt
ie an ‘A’-grade fencer MUST pair with a ‘U’. A ‘B’-grade fencer may pair with an ‘E’ or a ‘U’.
‘U’-champ rule: If you have placed 1st in any weapon-based sport or martial arts competition (including Lightspeed Saber), your grade is equal to your current LS grade or a temporary grade as listed below, whichever is higher:

Regional competition: D
Local competition: E
