Our master has fallen. So too, his apprentice. Our order is collapsing. We are on the brink of extinction.

Yes. Good.

There is nothing quite so sweet as power recently delivered from the clutches of a former master, orphaned from a weak lineage. All orders must be reborn from ashes. Power demands refinement through fire. Now the next master, and his loyal apprentice, must ascend. The power is up for grabs. Do you have what it takes to wield it? Only two will prevail.

Join Basin Saber Academy in their first, story-driven team event. Each team is composed of a master and an apprentice. Masters can be any competitive rank. Apprentices must be rank D or lower and must not exceed the rank of their master.  

First, your team must prove yourselves worthy of entering the Ascension bracket. Each team will face every other team in a new team format called Annihilation. Whittle away your opponents’ health until none are left standing. No mercy. That is the way of our order.  

The best four teams will be worthy to enter the Ascension bracket. Win, or die. There are no second chances. Each match will be a best of 3 rounds. Masters will face off in the first round, apprentices in the second. If a third match is required, the losers from the first two matches will face off. Cull the weak, I always say.  

The team that eliminates all others will earn the privilege of leading our order (and maybe a medal or something). Of course, everyone else will be dead by this point, which is exactly how we like it. Opportunity is calling, begging to be seized. Do you have what it takes?

UPDATE: Recently added by popular request, Dark Ascension will include a traditional open tournament for those that signed up for the team event to take place after the main team event.
