Daniel Delgado of Lightspeed Saber Academy took home the gold for the first IGNITE novice tournament, showing his best performance in a competition so far. The tournament welcomed many newcomers, in particular, three from Gryphon Fencing Club, and was the first ever run at the academy. Patricia Bauler also took first place in the women’s category. We are so pleased to finally formally welcome the Colorado-based Weldrotha Nerfherders to Lightspeed Saber League! Weldrotha base is almost certainly the most stylin Lightspeed base in the league. Lightspeed-sabers, cow-tipping, and colorful disco saber nights are their specialty, not to mention their tremendous experience in traditional saber and epee. A subdivision of Greeley Fencing Club, Cody and Mike Moskalski lead traditional fencing classes almost everyday, and have now added Lightspeed-saber to their weapon canon on Friday evenings. Please give this squad a warm welcome!

We are so pleased to announce the inclusion of The Villages Light-Saber Club into Lightspeed Saber League! But this isn’t a normal new base announcement, because every member of VLSC is a veteran-age 50+ fencer! We’ve long maintained that we’re the most accessible lightsaber-inspired format around, and this just proves it.
