Our Virginia and Maryland teams teamed up for their first competition of the 2023 season, with the newly official Dyad class making its first tournament appearance.
The 2023 rules manual is here, and the rules section on the site has been updated to reflect both Ren and Dyad Saber. Among the most important changes:
A new competition weapon class is introduced for the first time to Lightspeed Saber fencing since 2017. The new Dyad class saber system consists of one parrying saber, meant for defense, and one primary saber meant for offense and defense.
Knight Club’s mini novice tournament ended up being not-so-mini with 11 competitors from the SoCal area and an eventual D2 tournament rating.
Starbird Saber’s Valentine’s tournament brought together two LSL Texas teams where competitors came not to find love, but glory.
An updated version of the tournament schedule that better reflects the second half of the 2022-23 tournament circuit is now up. Hooray!
Nuff said! Go the armory.
The results for LS Markdale’s second ever tournament are in!
